Reflecting on the all-but-over Drake and Meek Mill beef, DJ Clark Kent has shared some insight regarding the infamous East Coast-West Coast rap rivalry of the ’90s. During a recent interview on the A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal podcast, Kent mentions that Jay Z recorded a diss record about Tupac but shelved it because of the legend’s untimely death. “Jay did a record going at Pac, but right as it was about to come out, son died. We performed it, though … at the Apollo,” he said. “It was scathing, like crowds were like, ‘Oh, shit!’ If he was alive, there would’ve been no coming back. This was so tough. To me, it probably was one of the hardest diss records I’ve ever heard.”
