It’s been over 20 years since Tupac was taken from this earth far too soon, but there is some good news for fans of the iconic rapper. According to The Blast, we could be receiving at least two new Tupac albums.
The posthumous projects are the result of a settlement between the estate of Tupac Shakur and Death Row Records over royalties. Shakur’s now-deceased mother, Afeni, originally filed the case against Entertainment One, which bought Death Row, claiming the family was owed more than one million dollars.
In addition to a cash settlement, Tupac’s estate will also receive a large portion of unreleased music. According to The Blast, there may be enough material for two or three albums even.
For now, there is no specific release plan for the previously unheard Tupac music, but it appears that multiple new albums are on the way. Visit The Blast for more on the possibility of new Tupac material.
In other music news, Kanye West has reportedly postponed his new album, YANDHI, until November.
