On the anniversary of what would be Tupac Shakur‘s 44th birthday, diehard fan and musician Jhene Aiko has dropped her own personal tribute to the legendary rapper. In an interview with MTV, Aiko underlines the many ways in which Tupac continually inspires her – as he does hordes of fans worldwide – and the personal connection she has with him and his musical output. This year she decided to go one step further with her celebrations and teamed up with photographer Danny Williams to recreate three of his most iconic images. Taking the classic image from his 1996 release All Eyez On Me, the cover of his posthumous Greatest Hits, and the bathtub shot from his “Becoming Clean” shoot by David LaChapelle, Aiko pays homage to his late greatness.
